  • Kannenpflanze

  • Can i have some care tips please

Ive been gifted this fly trap recently and i got it as it is in the picture but the person who gifted me it said it started to yellow to the point you see now. One of the traps is closed with food in it and some others are closed with nothing but Nobody’s touched it.
I read some guides and its sat in some rain water now, last time it was fed was two weeks ago but it hasn’t digested it. I haven’t re potted it. Im a bit worried about the way it looks and If its dying. I live in the UK and have to keep it on a windowsill because I don’t really have a safe garden to put it in.

Can i please get any care tips, anything i should do and if it should look the way it does right now

    Many thanks

  • Sarracenia gets revenge against the lanternflies!

Several of my Sarrs have been growing deformed due to lanternflies going after them. I have sprayed the plants with permethrin several times, which seems to have made a big difference, but still some of them persist.

I was checking the pitchers on my Sarracenia purpurea yesterday and saw this dead lanternfly nymph and a few others. Good! Serves them right.

Anyone else in the northeast battling lanternflies?

  • Baby nepenthes

Got this little guy with the beginner outdoor package for the online store. Been about a month outside on my front step here in Houston so it’s been getting rain, heat, rain, heat right now. Covered from direct sunlight. Has a tiny green pitcher on one leaf that’s hanging on the surface of the soil. I think this thing in the middle is new and I can’t tell if it’s gonna be a pitcher or what. Hard to tell if it’s happy or not lol.
