Paver advice needed (drainage)
Hello. I’m about to have this path done with Belgard mega arbel. The old pavers are probably 14 years old and were all cracked up in this area and falling apart. You can see I removed a bunch of them already. I’m worried about this low point between the patio behind the house and the slope up the hill. We just had a heavy rain in this picture and we’ll typically have standing water about 1”-2” deep there for maybe a day. During a heavy rain water flows right to left in this area as it moves from the back center of the house to the ditch in the front yard. If this path didn’t exist it would probably pool to the right of the path a little bit and eventually flow around the other side of the house. Point is I’m not worried about the basement flooding. I just don’t know how to put down pavers that aren’t submerged after heavy rains or if they’ll last in this condition. Thoughts?
