Golden honeymoon melon ripe? My first time growing this melon. I read that it’s ripe when: -it turns golden yellow: yes -leaves and tendril die close to it: yes -smells sweet: no -blossom end soft. If it is it’s so slight I can’t tell. The rest of the melon is hard as a rock. - suppose to get smooth and waxy: it was smooth and waxy before it turned this color. Now it’s growing ridges.
