Self Watering Terracotta Olla Pots in Dallas Texas
So, on a whim, I bought six of these: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8PT296S?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8PT296S?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title)
Now I am trying to decide if I should return or keep them. I have multiple 10 gallon bags of veggies, including container variety okra and eggplants . And I have tomatoes in a tall (24 inch) raised beds. Those get watered by hand. And short vine melons in (amended soil) ground-- these get watered by sprinklers twice a week (that's all we're allowed), though I can add water by hand if needed.
It's been an unusually (and delightfully) wet and cool spring this year in Dallas. But summer is coming. I am wondering should I keep the pots (maybe half of them?), are they a good idea? And if so, for what plants need them? I was thinking the okra.
Advice appreciated. Thank you.
Or just concentrate o
