Coco coir based mix not drying out
I made potting mix for my houseplants using coco coir… I added 3 parts coco coir, 2 parts perlite, 1 part orchid bark and 1/2 part charcoal, alongside slow release fertiliser.
However, it seems very wet and seems it’s not drying out fast enough… I took one plant out and it has some root rot… is this a good mix? What should I do? I watered twice so far, first time sparingly and second time until it started draining on the bottom. It’s quite warm now and humidity is about 50-60%. Plants have bright indirect light in the afternoon…
