Imperial green philodendron
I have a healthy imperial green philodendron that grows one 18" leaf a month and seems to be thriving. I water it when dry and use a grow light for about 16 hours a day (it gets no natural light). A few days ago, I noticed an unusual growth emerging from a cataphyl, not from a stem. I've never seen anything like it before and was wondering whether anyone knows what it is. It gets a bit larger every day so perhaps it will reveal itself a little later on.
