Rate my First year Garden Location South Seattle Everything planted from starts June 1 Killed all the grass last September Tilled top soil in March (only 3-4 inches to preserve deeper root paths) Added 3 yards of Soil mix from local supplier (Tina's Mix is a blend of CG compost, Moodoo, Mycorrhizae, aged hemlock, peat moss, and perlite.) Topped it off with mulch (RED-AUBURN BARK A blend of ground fir and hemlock that provides an even coverage, a fresh appearance, and an earthy aroma.) Regular timed watering from sprinkler 5am / 6pm. (I looked into drip irrigation but ultimately cheaped out and bought a sprinkler.) Mixed up 3 gallons of miracle grow plant food and used my sprayer setup to distribute to the entire garden.
