Is my new eastern redbud tree salvageable? Hi all. I got an eastern redbud tree last year and planted it in the wrong spot with not enough sun and it didn’t do well at all. But it was still alive. Somebody that helped me with my gardening transplanted it a couple weeks ago. When I went to look at it today, it seemed to me that most of the upper small branches were dead – – when I scratch the surface there was no green and they snapped like a dead twig. So I chopped off the top half down to the one live green branch with leaves on it. Is it going to be able to come back or did I mess it up even worse by cutting it? Total newbie lol.
