What should I plan here? Looking for some ideas for a small shrub or two to plant between these two new vines I planted. I’m in the north east in zone 4. I prefer native, at least definitely not invasive. And special consideration for either evergreen or something that will provide winter berries for birds. I’m thinking something sort of small under 3 feet and getting to mismatched shrubs to go there. On either side of the porch, I planted several different shrubs of varying Heights in green and burgundy – – conifers, dark, purple hydrangeas, piers japonica.
