Is this a raspberry shoot or a weed? I saw this growing amongst my raspberry bushes. I planted the bushes in May and so I was surprised to see what may be raspberry plant shoots. The brown thorns on the stem are throwing me off and the shoots are growing out of the ground, not off of the main plant so I don’t know if it’s a weed or if it’s raspberry. This is the first time I’ve planted raspberry so before I yank anything out of the ground I want to be sure, is this a weed or part of my raspberry plant?
