Is this Crape Myrtle Bark Scale? Sorry for the low quality image, I had to take this through a window since it's really hard to access normally. I moved into a house a couple of years ago that has a nice pink crape myrtle. It seems to bloom and look fine, but I noticed these white specks on the trunk of it. Should I be concerned about this? If it is the CMBS that I am reading about, apparently there's not much you can do outside of harsh insecticide treatment. Thanks in advance.
