My first Alocasia pup š„¹
Long time lurker, first time poster!
I finally worked up the courage to buy my first alocasia from Home Depot about 6 months ago (canāt remember the type but she was this gorgeous shiny dark green just like the pup in the photo). I did my research, meticulously transferred her to pon, and she proceeded to die RAPIDLY over the course of a month. I wish I had a picture of her but she started dying so quickly and tragically that I couldnāt bear to document it . In hindsight, I think I didnāt let her acclimate to my home long enough before transferring to pon.
Anywayyyy, when I transferred her I found about 8 corms, which I stuck in homemade self watering containers with stratum/perlite mix on a heating mat and today, one of those has finally sprouted. I am in absolute disbelief and I just hope I can give this pup that my first alocasia didnāt get š„¹
