My first two ever DIY gardens are up! I just finished my first two DIY raised beds here in Ontario (zone 6a/7b? I’m still figuring that part out). They’re currently just a proof of concept, but if everything goes well I plan to build more to fill that narrow strip of lawn in front of the house. My daughter’s actually over her initial obsession with “real carrots” (now she’s all about lettuce and some other stuff), but our goal remains the same, to spend more time outdoors together, growing vegetables side by side and learning new things as we go.
