Been experimenting with polyculture beds. Very happy with the results so far. I built this 2m2 bed last year, but didn’t get to actually plant in it until this year. Originally, I was doing only peas, black beans, and Swiss chard. However, I had a ton of volunteer tomatoes pop up in this bed (I imagine the seeds were in the compost), as well as a few potato plants. I just went with it, for the most part, and the results have been pretty impressive. These combination of plants works really well and I may repeat it in the future.
