I've never grown anything and plan to plant some gingers.
Is it better to put them in water like this to wait for bigger sprouts, or should I plant them directly on the ground right now? I heard that ginger is aggressive and invasive like mint. Does it take over my garden if I grow them directly onto the garden? Or should I keep them in a tray?
