What to put in place of removed Maple tree! We had to remove a large maple tree from our front yard due to girdling root, every year it was looking worse. We receive an astronomical quote from a landscaping guy to removing the debris, lay top soil, and plant a new 7-9 foot maple. Are there steps we can take to do this ourselves? We already removed most of the debris, but still need to clear it out pretty well. Is there anything special we need to do besides remove the debris and add new topsoil? Good places to buy a tree?
