My tomato is growing babies I'm growing my very first plant, an indeterminate dwarf tomato (Husky). It seems to be doing well, it's growing, no pests, but now there are these babies growing out of the root ball area (the tomato grew sideways initially for some reason, which is why the roots aren't directly beneath the plant). I planted it in this pot 2 weeks ago with soil for raised garden beds, and some of my own worm castings. Are those babies tomato plants, and if so, should I keep them? The pot is only 5 gallons. Or does this look like something from my undigested worm compost? I am inclined to let it grow to see what happens, unless this is something I should be taking care of right away.
