Chat GPT thinks it's some kind of Annona. The tree looks to be at least 10 years old and here in North Florida we have had several freeze events down into the upper 20s over the last 10 years. Then bark is mottled gray. It appears to have been cut down multiple times throughout its life and suckers vigorously from its roots with the tree taking on a coppiced growth appearance. I wanted to say pond apple but the knobby unripe fruit looks nothing like a pond apple. What do you all think?
