Home Depot Snake Plant

I brought this one home from Home Depot today, she’s about 2ft tall and in a 10in pot (I know I know—no big box stores, but she was only $20). No personal watering habits but soil she came in looks *very* damp. Pot has drainage holes. She will live by a west facing window. Can I repot her tonight? Or should I wait a few weeks until she acclimates? Does the whole “use a pot only slightly larger than the roots” apply to snake plants? I feel like snake plant roots usually aren’t very large/deep/wide. Grateful for any advice!!
