I need some assistance trying to figure out what to do in my backyard. We just bought the house recently (midwest home) and I'm finally getting to the yard now that it's warmed up.
I'm not sure what to do with the boxed-in areas to the right. The home was owned by an elderly lady who couldn't keep up with it, so I had to cut out a ton of old overgrown bushy trees. Now I'm left with this. I think mulch would look good, but it's about 82cbft, and I don't really feel like buying that much mulch every year. Not sure if rock is practical because of how it slopes down to my sidewalk. I'm not a gardener, and I'm not huge on flowers or vegetables as I don't have time (or patience) to keep up with it. I like a minimalist approach that looks sharp and clean.
