New vegtable garden
Still a work in progress; I still have to add trellis and whatnot just trying to get it ready for the next season. We're completely new to gardening. I just started building our raised beds yesterday. There's a few more I have to do. We are in SWFL zone 10a. The bed next to the shed was originally going to be for tomatoes, basil, and marigolds, which is 2'x8' and 24" tall. There will be another bed to the right of the big box down the fence, and a couple more in the middle with a 3 foot walk way all around . The small long bed is just going to be for some zinnias for some cool color. However, while building the boxes, I noticed the shed gives shade to that box until roughly 12:00, as that's the east. Can I still put tomatoes there with that much shade, or what are some other options that would be better, and I can move them to a more sunny part of the garden when I get the boxes done?
