• My Little Guys Don’t Look Good

I posted a “Help!” flag about the upper succulent before. No one had any insights so I’m trying again. And this time I’m adding a cry for help for my Baby Toes plant. It doesn’t look well. But I’m new to this succulent world so I don’t know. But it’s separating, bleaching out, and not looking so great.

    What am I doing wrong?

Light: 6-8 hrs direct sun (Florida zone 10A) 4 hrs shaded by a tree. Indoor grow lights (12 hrs) during intermittent thunder storms.
Water: when it shrivels a bit (although the upper plant has one side shriveled, the other OK) or ev. 2 weeks.
Substrate: 1/2 cactus soil, 1/2 perlite.
Drainage: ea. pot has a 1/2” wide drainage hole.
Repotted: from mail order plastic nursery pots 3 wks ago.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • Orchid escaping the pot

I have no knowledge of orchids, and this one I received as a gift few years ago. It has been living its life in a transparent pot, but for some time now it just doesn't sit in it. I tried repotting , but all the roots inside the pot rot and the plant is trying to grow it's roots outside the pot. I don't overwater it, it could be rather said that as a succulent lover I have tendencies to underwater. The soil is a special orchid soil I bought. It gets lots of light as it sits next to the windows and the climate is rather hot. I water it once a week by submerging the pot in water for a couple of minutes.

  • G. Ellen Green Spots

Googled what these raised green spots were and it looked like Ellen spots - which are typically caused by prolonged exposure to rain. It hasn’t rained here so I’m not sure what caused it? I noticed these spots when I was watering it yesterday. I bought it as a cutting and it started rooting couple weeks ago.

  • Floppy prayer plant…help

I’m new to being a plant parent and this was gifted to me. It has grown leggy and is starting to fall over. The oldest leaf on it has now gone crispy. I have propagated a piece of it and it is rooting well in water. What should I do with the rest of this plant to make it happy? Would chop/prop it be the best way? Or leave it alone and add the clipping back to the pot when to roots get long enough? I love this plant. Any help is useful!

  • How to remove weeds to plant sod

    Hey yall.

I have a whole area full of weeds I need to remove and plant sod. What’s the most efficient way to do so without chemicals (kid and pet safe). Is there a machine or a process I can do without hiring someone? This is a picture of 1/3 of the area.
