  • Help with this little guy

    Hello all!

I got this little guy as a gift about two years ago. They told me he's a Lingzhi - Ganoderma Lucidum (mushroom of immortality), and to mist him with water bi-weekly.
And I was wondering if he's actually alive. I mean he hasn't changed (grown or whatever) one bit in the two years he's with me, and he doesn't even have soil, he's just on a wood.
Do you know if that's ok?
Why hasn't he grown at all?

  • Burn spot(s)?

These have appeared after this propagated piece has been in the soil for about a month now. Pot has drainage, I don’t water till almost dry but not completely. It is at the window in my office but I move around for direct and indirect light. Thank you!

  • Palm drying up

I’ve had this palm for 4 months and it keeps drying up. I have an identical smaller palm with the same problem. No matter what I do, the leaves keep browning. I water it 2-3 times a week or when the soil looks dry. I’ve repotted them (put them in miracle gro palm soil), moved them (to bright indirect light), misted them, and fertilized them and nothing will work. They’re even producing new growth but those are also browning immediately. Not sure what else to do :(

  • Wondering what to do with this Micans and the big hanging glass bowl it’s in

So I potted this Micans into this large glass bowl 2 days ago. It’s about a foot in diameter and a couple gallons. In total with the plant and substrate in there it weighed about 15 lbs.

I was gonna suspend it from a ceiling beam but now I’m starting to second guess it all because of the no-drainage thing. Could this thing thrive without drainage?

My thoughts were to maybe drill a hole but what if I wanted to use this for something else in the future? I was considering a fish tank and just have the plant or a portion of it growing in there. Or I bought a coco liner yesterday so I was gonna take everything out and add it and then put everything back in.

Whatcha think is my best course here?
