Curlings tips and brown spots on Chinese Evergreen?

Hello,
I'm a bit new to owning plants and I picked up a Chinese Evergreen recently because I heard they can tolerate lower light. The tips were curled when I got them but it's a bit more dramatic now.. The soil is dry on top and a bit moist an inch down, and I sprayed the leaves with water earlier today. It stays roughly around 70-80° in my room. I'm planning on getting a grow light, but for now it gets medium-lowish indirect light for roughly 10 hours a day (right now it's outside because I found a tiny snail on it!!) i also got it with these brown spots on the edges (one of which tore away, it's the big hole in the picture) and now i wonder if it's due to the snail(s)? After a thorough search, i didn't find any other snails/pests but it seems doubtful there's only one.
I did some googling but I haven't found any specific answers.. I guess I'm wondering if anyone knows whether it's pests, watering, lighting, or all of the above, and how to remedy it. I don't think it looks too unhealthy but I'd like to fix the issues before the plant starts dying!
Thank you!!
